Advanced Detailing

In our Advanced Detailing class at NYSID, we learned how to apply millwork in architectural interiors practically. Our guide was Thomas Hucker, a renowned American artist known for fine furniture craftsmanship since the late 1970s.

For our final project, I created a space embracing the elegance of classical orders and elements. Walls to the North and West proudly showcase intricate crown moldings, while at the center of each, the moldings take on a playful variety, adding a touch of dynamic charm to the design. Additionally, I've incorporated a section featuring detailed drawings highlighting the intricate work on the North wall.
